BERKLEY, Mich. – Henry Ford-GoHealth Urgent Care opened a new center in Berkley today at 27897 Woodward Ave., just north of Vinsetta Garage. The new Berkley location is the third Henry Ford-GoHealth Urgent Care Center in Oakland County.

“Convenient access to affordable healthcare is critical in building thriving communities,” said Laurie Dietzel, Market Vice President, Henry Ford-GoHealth Urgent Care. “Berkley’s small and close-knit community combined with its direct access to downtown Detroit will enable us to increase access to high-quality care when and where people need it the most. We are excited to serve the residents who live and work in Berkley, and look forward to expanding our partnership with Henry Ford Health across Metro Detroit.”

The Berkley location is the 11th Henry Ford-GoHealth Urgent Care center to open this year. To date, centers have opened in Bloomfield Hills, Bruce Township, Chesterfield, Clinton Township, Dearborn Heights, Fraser, Livonia, Southgate and West Bloomfield. Additional locations are expected to open in Taylor, Southfield, Canton and St. Clair Shores in the coming months.

About the new Berkley center

Henry Ford-GoHealth Urgent Care’s new center in Berkley provides the community with a more affordable option for safe and efficient care outside of higher-cost settings like the emergency department. It also provides the community with a direct connection to Henry Ford Health’s robust network of care, which regularly earns national recognition for excellence in quality, safety, research and innovation.

“Our community has become accustomed to on-demand, seamlessly connected services that are affordable and accessible, including healthcare,” said Doug Ditri, Henry Ford Health’s Chief Operating Officer of System Ambulatory Operations. “Our partnership provides Metro Detroit with high-quality urgent care services that are convenient, close to home and more affordable than a trip to the emergency department. With these new urgent care centers, we are making ourselves even more available to our patients where and when they need us.”

The new location will offer treatment for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries, on-site X-ray services and COVID-19 testing. Healthcare providers at Henry Ford-GoHealth can also prescribe and fill COVID-19 oral antiviral treatments if clinically indicated after evaluation. The center will serve the community from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Those seeking care can be seen quickly and easily by walking into any Henry Ford-GoHealth Urgent Care center or going online to save a spot and pre-register. In addition to treating non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries, the center offers sports physicals for kids and flu vaccines.
