About Me
Biographical Statement
Amer G. Aboukasm, M.D., is board-certified sleep medicine neurologist at Henry Ford Health with more than 30 years of experience diagnosing and treating a wide range of neurological and sleep disorders. His clinical interests include dementia, Parkinson's disease, neuromuscular disorders, epilepsy, insomnia, hypersomnia and sleep apnea.
Dr. Aboukasm earned his medical degree from St. Joseph's University Medical School. He completed a transitional internship at St. Michael's Medical Center in New Jersey, followed by an internal medicine residency at Beaumont Hospital–Grosse Pointe and a neurology residency at Henry Ford Hospital. He further advanced his training through a fellowship in neurophysiology and epilepsy at Henry Ford Hospital.
Dr. Aboukasm is committed to providing compassionate, individualized care and helping patients manage complex sleep and neurological conditions to improve their quality of life.
