About Me
Biography Statement
Dr. Laura K. Corrigan is a board-certified neurologist with specialized certification in neuromuscular medicine and neurophysiology. She specializes in intraoperative neuromonitoring and dedicates her practice to the real-time monitoring and interpretation of neurophysiologic data during complex neurosurgical and vascular procedures. Her work helps surgical teams protect critical nervous system function and optimize patient outcomes during brain, spine and cerebrovascular surgeries.
Dr. Corrigan earned her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine. She completed a transitional internship at Ascension St. John Hospital, followed by a residency in neurology at Henry Ford Hospital. She further advanced her training through a fellowship in neurophysiology at Henry Ford Hospital, developing expertise in electrophysiologic monitoring and the assessment of nervous system function.
Through her role in intraoperative neuromonitoring, Dr. Corrigan collaborates closely with neurosurgeons, orthopedic spine surgeons and vascular surgeons to provide oversight during surgery. Her expertise in interpreting complex neurophysiologic signals supports surgical decision-making and helps reduce the risk of neurological injury during high-risk procedures.
