About Me
Biographical Statement
April Danford, LMSW, is a Master's prepared social worker with 20 years of experience in community mental health and adult behavioral health. She is licensed to practice at the clinical and macro levels in Michigan.
Her interest in behavioral health stems from her fascination with understanding what makes people tick. She enjoys connecting with people in therapy to help them tackle their individual challenges. Her clinical areas of interest include depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and obsessive-compulsive disorder.
April received specialized training at the Beck Institute for cognitive behavioral therapy and prolonged exposure therapy. She received her MSW at Wayne State University in Detroit and completed internships at Common Ground Sanctuary and John D. Dingell Veterans Hospital.
