Biographical Statement
Dr. Smitha Gudipati is a board-certified infectious disease specialist at Henry Ford Health with a primary clinical and research focus on HIV medicine. She is dedicated to improving the care and outcomes of people living with HIV through evidence-based treatment, prevention strategies and multidisciplinary care. In addition to her expertise in HIV, she cares for patients with a broad range of complex infectious diseases.
Dr. Gudipati is recognized as a Fellow of the Infectious Diseases Society of America (FIDSA), an honor that reflects her significant contributions to the field. Throughout her career, she has focused on advancing high-quality patient care, antimicrobial stewardship and the prevention of healthcare-associated infections. Her scholarly work and publications have largely centered on HIV care, treatment and outcomes.
