One organ donor has the potential to save up to 8 lives. Unfortunately, there are more people on the transplant wait list than there are organ donors. Every day, approximately 21 people die while waiting for an organ transplant.

Living organ donation

In addition to making your future wishes known, you can also donate stem cells and certain solid organs while healthy.

Henry Ford Transplant offers one of the state’s top living donor programs. We are one of the few centers nationwide to provide minimally invasive procedures for living donors. Our approach means a faster recovery for donors.
