What We Do
PERC has two areas of work:
Patient Advisor Program Operations
We support more than 400 Patient Advisors who volunteer on behind the scenes efforts across the system. This includes:
- Hospital-based Patient & Family Advisory Councils (PFAC)
- System committees (Department/High-level)
- Research studies (Patient Advisors as Stakeholders)
- Special projects
Research Operations
We help researchers design and carry out patient-engaged research, including:
- Qualitative methods (interviews, focus groups)
- Mixed methods study design
- IRB preparation
- Recruitment and patient-friendly study materials
- Engagement planning (PCORI-style)
- Tools and surveys
- Collaboration developmentGrant support
We bring together patients, staff, and researchers to make every project more relevant, useful, and equitable.
