Center for Simulation Education and Research
The Center for Simulation, Education and Research is a 12,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility equipped with multiple simulation phantoms and medical devices which allow residents to refine their clinical skills in a risk-free environment. The Department of Radiology offers an intensive minimally invasive procedural radiology course designed to provide first year residents with hands-on-training in various image based interventions. Attending radiologists train residents on safe techniques in performing ultrasound and CT guided biopsies, lumbar punctures, joint aspiration/injections, fluid drainage, and vascular access. Residents receive 24 hour access to the center.
