Who We Serve

Patients and their supporters

A patient's success in achieving wellness or restoration back to health depends largely in part to the support they receive from those closest to them. Therefore, caring for patients often involves caring for the family and friends who love them. Patient concerns and physical ailments are not isolated issues. Quite often, family and friends are impacted in adverse ways and are also in need of hope, comfort, support and encouragement. For this reason, Pastoral Care will be available to everyone involved in the efforts to restore the health of our patients.

Caring for the caregivers

Everyone is on a journey. This includes caregivers. Engaged caregivers perform best when they, too, are physically, emotionally, and spiritually healthy. To that end, the pastoral care department seeks to provide spiritual support as needed to each and every member of the Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital team.

Community care

The Pastoral Care Department at Henry Ford West Bloomfield seeks to contribute to the spiritual health and well-being of our community. With this in mind, we will offer to share with our community our insights on such topics as: Spiritual Care For People On The Journey To Recovery, Caring For The Caregiver, and Pursuing Wellness - Body, Mind and Spirit. Clergy who partner with HFWB are available to speak to various faith groups and other organizations interested in advancing spiritual health and wellness.
