Introducing Our New CEO

At Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital, we are pleased to announce the arrival of Denise Brooks-Williams as our new President and Chief Executive Officer. Denise brings the talent and expertise needed to help advance our commitment to serving the health and wellness of the Downriver community.

Brooks-Williams comes to Henry Ford Health System with more than 20 years of progressive hospital leadership experience. Most recently, she served as president and chief executive officer of Bronson Battle Creek in Battle Creek, Mich., a 218-bed community hospital known nationally for patient safety.

Prior to this, Brooks-Williams held leadership positions with St. Joseph Mercy Oakland Hospital in Pontiac, Mich., including vice president of operations, ambulatory services, strategic business development and physician network, as well as positions at the Detroit Medical Center and Mercy Hospital in Detroit.

Brooks-Williams graduated from the University of Michigan with a Master of Health Services Administration degree. She is the immediate past president and a board member for the National Association of Health Services Executives and a member of the University of Michigan School of Public Health, Department of Health Management and Policy board. She has received numerous honors and awards, including being named one of the 2010 Top 25 Minority Executives in Healthcare by Modern Healthcare magazine, and Young Healthcare Executive of the Year by the National Association of Health Care Executives.
