FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

WEST BLOOMFIELD - Lynn Torossian, president of Harper Hutzel Hospital and a senior vice president of the Detroit Medical Center, has been appointed president & CEO of Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital.

She will join Henry Ford Health System effective Dec. 9.

Torossian is a seasoned health care professional with 25 years of experience with Oakwood Healthcare and Detroit Medical Center (DMC). During her tenure with DMC, she also served in multiple leadership roles at Huron Valley Sinai Hospital, including president.

“Throughout her career, Lynn has demonstrated the ability to develop excellent relationships with key stakeholders, provide strategic direction that best meets the needs of patients and build strong teams,” says Bob Riney, president and chief operating officer of Henry Ford Health System. “Her experience in the health care industry, and in the market that Henry Ford West Bloomfield serves, will be a great asset to our health system.”

At Huron Valley Sinai, Torossian provided executive leadership for the 153-bed acute care facility with $170 million net annual operating revenue, including strategic planning, business development, physician recruitment and hospital operations. Among her many accomplishments, Torossian has led a successful physician recruitment and retention initiative, increased employee and physician engagement scores and completed several major expansion projects, including a new medical office building.

Torossian holds a bachelor's degree in business from Eastern Michigan University and is a certified public accountant. She is board-certified in health care management as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and is currently enrolled in the MBA program at Walsh Business College.

Torossian is active in the community and most recently served on multiple committees of the United Way for Southeast Michigan and on the Board of the Huron Valley Chamber of Commerce.

She replaces Gerard van Grinsven who resigned earlier this year to become president and CEO of Cancer Treatment Centers of America Inc.
