Henry Ford Health System Named One of Metro Detroit's Best Workplaces

September 22, 2015

DETROIT – For nearly 10 years, Henry Ford Health System has been named one of The Best and Brightest Companies to Work For® in metro Detroit.

The healthcare system of 23,000 employees has been awarded the title again for 2015 by the National Association for Business Resources.

The Association identifies and honors organizations that display a commitment to excellence in their human resource practices and employee enrichment. The businesses are assessed based on communication, work-life balance, employee education, diversity, recognition, retention and more.

“I feel a real sense of pride that Henry Ford has once again been named a ‘Best and Brightest Company to Work For,’” says Kathy Oswald, Henry Ford Health System Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. “Healthcare employees have a tremendous responsibility to provide exemplary care with compassion and an eye toward exceptional service. We know it isn’t always easy. A large part of our role in Human Resources is to ensure we provide our employees with the tools, work climate and support they need to be successful. This honor validates the work we do to assist employees each and every day.”

Considered the “Academy Awards” of human resources, the National Association for Business Resources’ commendations also recognize several elite practices in Human Resources. Henry Ford Health System won the “Strategic Company Performance” award, recognition of human resources teams that excel at collaborating with senior executives to drive company performance.

The National Association for Business Resources honored all recipients at an awards event Sept. 17 in Detroit.
