Henry Ford Surgeon Appointed Board Member of AOCMF North America
DETROIT – Lamont R Jones, M.D., MBA, vice chair for the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Henry Ford Health System, has been elected the next representative of the Otolaryngology subspecialty for AOCMF North America by its board members.
AOCMF is a multi-specialty community consisting of clinicians from all around the world, with different backgrounds and areas of expertise—oral and maxillofacial surgery, plastic surgery, ENT, head and neck surgery, ophthalmology, and neurosurgery. AOCMF aims to improve patient care through education and research & development opportunities for surgeons.
AOCMF North America Board is one of five regional boards under AOCMF International. These regional boards are responsible for planning the full range of activities in the field of education. They also provide regional input to the respective commissions for community development and research.
“Joining the AOCMF North America board as a representative for the Otolaryngology subspecialty is truly an honor,” Dr. Jones said. “As part of this network of surgeons, I am looking forward to help build upon a rich legacy of service, education, research and innovation in craniomaxillofacial field, and mentoring new and junior faculty.”
Dr. Jones will serve in this position for seven years, beginning in July 2019 and concluding in July 2026.
