HFAH Renovates Emergency Department

Henry Ford Allegiance Health has started a multi-phase project to update their Emergency Department. Scheduled for completion in October 2020, the renovations will create a more patient-centered environment for the 75,000 visits provided each year by the department’s specialized team.

“We want our community to know we listen to their concerns and take action,” said Kim Campbell, Director of Nursing and Patient Care Services, Emergency Department/CDU/Organizational Throughput. “We look forward to this fall when our patients will experience an updated care environment in the Emergency Department.”

Construction should not impact timeliness of care, but high patient volumes are expected to continue due to flu season. Henry Ford Allegiance Walk-In Clinics are available for non-emergent health concerns.

Updates will be posted on Henry Ford Allegiance Health’s Facebook page throughout the Emergency Department renovation project.

An additional renovation—to the hospital’s front entrance and lobby—is expected to be complete later this year.
