Nurses Create Christmas Magic for Henry Ford Hospital Patients
DETROIT (Dec. 21, 2023)— A beloved holiday tradition was made possible for families whose babies may not be able to leave Henry Ford Hospital for Christmas, when Santa Claus visited the hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).
Nurses dressed the babies in cute, cozy Frosty the Snow Baby outfits for the occasion. The little bundles and their families were photographed with Santa, who served the rest of the year as a Henry Ford critical care nurse. The photos can be seen on Henry Ford Health social media channels.
Photos with Santa are a beloved tradition in the Henry Ford Hospital NICU. One of the nurses made the costumes. Each family gets to take their costume home as a keepsake of the little one’s first Christmas.
