Our Continued Commitment to Recognizing the Legacy of Dr. King

Dr. Martin Luther King’s legacy of treating every person with dignity, respect, and justice is woven into the way our 50,000 team members care for our community 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. For 25 years, we have proudly celebrated the life of Dr. King with a system-wide celebration. This year, our theme was “Vision Beyond Visibility: One Mission. One People. One Standard of Care,” encouraging us to reflect on the guiding principles that anchor our work within this organization and in the communities we serve.

While Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is not a paid holiday at Henry Ford Health, team members are encouraged to use their floating holiday if they wish to take the day off to celebrate Dr. King.
