Trevor R Banka, MD

Biographical Statement

Trevor Banka, MD, is a fellowship trained adult reconstructive orthopaedic surgeon. He grew up in Port Huron, Michigan and attended the University of Michigan, where he graduated with honors in Microbiology. He then completed his medical degree at Michigan State University.

Dr. Banka did his residency training in orthopaedic surgery at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan before traveling to New York to complete the prestigious Adult Reconstructive and Joint Replacement Fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery, which is the number one ranked orthopaedic hospital and training program in the United States.

Dr. Banka has a particular interest in technology in orthopaedic surgery. He is one of the world's experts in ROSA Robotic knee replacements, making him an international leader in robotic knee replacements.

Dr. Banka’s patient care philosophy encompasses a personalized care approach with rapid recovery protocols after surgery. Research Interests

Dr. Banka has extensive experience with and has published research on handheld navigation, robotics, technology in joint replacements, post operative pain control, and patient reported outcome measures, which he believes is the gold standard of success. During his studies, he also presented clinical and basic science research at national and international orthopaedic societal meetings. Dr. Banka has traveled the world sharing his knowledge and expertise in robotic joint replacement.
