About Me
Biographical Statement
I'm glad that you're considering me as your primary care physician! I am a board-certified Internal Medicine doctor working exclusively in Detroit, the city I've called home my entire life. All of my medical training has been done in the city and its suburbs. So I am well aware of the health problems our community faces. My goal is to work alongside you to achieve YOUR health goals, while providing guidance, education and recommendations based on the most up-to-date medical and scientific evidence.
To me, being your doctor is a privilege. A successful doctor and patient relationship takes time and effort. It is built on honesty, trust and effective communication. You can reach me by calling my office. It's even easier and more convenient to communicate with me through Henry Ford MyChart. I always respond to my patients' concerns as quickly as possible. During our in person appointments, I make sure to spend as much time as YOU need to thoroughly discuss your concerns. As a new member of our group medical practice, I have a very open schedule. So you should be able to see me when you need to.
My special interests and clinical skills include using ultrasound to assist with diagnosis in the clinic, performing manual medicine to help relieve muscular or skeletal pain, teaching doctors in training and focusing on preventing disease. The most common conditions I see are high blood pressure (hypertension), diabetes, obesity, acute and chronic pain, heart disease, lung disease and depression or anxiety.
