About Me

Biographical Statement

Vidit Talati, MD, MS, is an otolaryngologist at Henry Ford Health with a clinical focus on diseases of the nose, paranasal sinuses, and skull base. He specializes in treating all common sinonasal conditions such as chronic sinusitis, allergies, deviated septum, and nasal polyps. He is also an expert in minimally invasive approaches to treating more complex sinonasal and skull base conditions like blocked tear ducts, eye tumors, sinonasal and skull base tumors, and cerebrospinal fluid (brain fluid) leaks. He earned his medical degree at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and completed his residency in otolaryngology at Rush University Medical Center. He then completed the esteemed University of Pennsylvania Rhinology fellowship to hone his clinical and research skills. His surgical techniques involve the use of an endoscope in the nose, which avoids any scars on the face. Often times he collaborates with neurosurgeons, ophthalmologists, and other otolaryngologists to provide excellent multidisciplinary care for any complex health issues.

Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Talati devotes his time to clinical research and education with the goal of improving outcomes for his patients and training the next generation of otolaryngologists. He completed a Masters of Clinical Research during his residency to refine his ability to study outcomes in a structured and methodical fashion. He is passionate about researching the importance of complete and comprehensive sinus surgery for chronic sinusitis as well as improving quality of life and skull base reconstruction techniques in patients undergoing skull base surgery. He has presented his findings at several national conferences and authored many research articles in peer-reviewed journals.

By combining his academic interests and busy clinical practice, Dr. Talati empowers his patients to actively participate in decision making about their care by providing a full 360-view of their diagnosis and treatment options.
