DETROIT – Henry Ford Health team members are finding themselves training a new co-worker with an unexpected set of skills in videos currently popping up and scoring lots of likes on Henry Ford Health social media

In a humorous series of vignettes the Detroit-based health system is lightheartedly dubbing “Undercover Amon-Ra,” Detroit Lions elite wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown slides into the role of trainee alongside unsuspecting Henry Ford team members who work in food services, on the loading dock, with therapy dogs, and more.

“We’re so delighted to have Amon-Ra join our Henry Ford team. Creating these videos has been such a fun surprise for our team members,” said Heather Geisler, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Communication and Experience officer for Henry Ford Health.

“Now when we say, ‘We are Henry,’ we get to include one of our favorite Detroit Lions,” Geisler said, referring to the health system’s ongoing storytelling campaign featuring the inspiring personal stories of actual Henry Ford patients and team members.

Over the coming weeks, you’ll continue to see new “undercover” videos featuring St. Brown, which will also be utilized in recruitment and marketing campaigns for the health system. Through the exclusive partnership, St. Brown will also join Henry Ford in community outreach efforts as well as advertisements.

In his third season with the Lions, St. Brown has become one of the most reliable and consistent wide receivers in the NFL and his receiving stats rank among the best in the league. St. Brown approached the Henry Ford team looking for an opportunity to make a difference off the field by serving as a brand ambassador for an organization with deep roots in the community.

“Becoming part of the Henry Ford Health team has been so rewarding—and going undercover has been a total blast for all of us involved,” said St. Brown. “It’s been amazing to create these fun and meaningful moments with the people who help keep our community healthy, and I can’t wait for everyone to see what else we have in store.”

St. Brown was drafted by Detroit in the 2021 NFL Draft after playing college football at University of Southern California, near his family home in Anaheim Hills, California. His 196 career receptions in his first two seasons tied him for most in NFL history and last year he became the youngest receiver in Lions’ franchise history to have 1,000 receiving yards in a single season, which resulted in his selection to the NFL’s Pro Bowl.

Henry Ford Health is the official team physicians for the Detroit Lions and has been the official health care provider of the Lions dating back to the 1950s – its longest running collaboration among   Detroit's four professional sports teams.
