Adam S Daly, MD

Biographical Statement

Adam Daly, MD, is a Staff Cardiac Surgeon at the Division of Cardiac Surgery Henry Ford Hospital Detroit and Henry Ford Macomb Hospital. Dr Daly, originally from Ireland, completed medical school at University College Dublin, Ireland's largest medical school. He underwent cardiac surgery training on the National Cardiothoracic Surgery Training Program, delivered through the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. Dr Daly subsequently underwent two years of subspecialist training as an Advanced Aortic and Cardiac Surgery Fellow at the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic where he was awarded the Rene G. Favaloro Fellow of the year. During this time, Dr Daly underwent subspecialist training in complex open, hybrid and endovascular surgery in addition to training in advanced heart failure, mechanical circulatory support and transplantation.

Dr Daly's current practice encompasses all aspects of adult cardiac surgery with an specialized focus on open and endovascular aortic surgery. Dr Daly specializes in all aspects of valvular heart and aortic disease including aneurysms and dissections. Specific boutique expertise includes; minimally invasive valve surgery, valve sparing aortic root surgery, bicuspid aortic valve repair, aneurysm repair, ascending/arch/descending thoracic aorta repair whether that be complex re-operative frozen arch repair or total endovascular solutions. Dr Daly also has expertise in acute and chronic heart failure, temporary and durable mechanical circulatory support and heart transplantation.
