Bilal M Kharbutli, MD

Biographical Statement

Dr. Bilal Kharbutli is a board-certified surgeon specializing in bariatric and metabolic surgery. Dr. Kharbutli is certified by the American Board of Surgery in both general and metabolic bariatric surgery. He brings extensive expertise in weight-loss surgery and related digestive disorders. He earned his medical degree from Jordan University of Science & Technology in 2003 and completed his residency in surgery at Henry Ford Hospital in Michigan in 2010.

Following his residency, he pursued advanced fellowship training in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery at Wayne State University, completing it in 2011. Dr. Kharbutli is a teaching faculty for the Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital surgical residency program and is a clinical assistant professor of surgery at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Kharbutli provides comprehensive care, including bariatric, general, minimally invasive, and robotic surgery. His range of procedures includes hernia repair, EGD, and hiatal hernia surgery. Fluent in both English and Arabic, Dr. Kharbutli is dedicated to delivering compassionate, personalized care to his patients.
