Helping Caregivers Care for Themselves

Sometimes the C.A.R.E. Program team assists caregivers as they navigate Henry Ford Health for their own wellness needs. Caregiver Yvonne F. attends online C.A.R.E. classes and receives the iCare4U newsletter. When she wanted to join Henry Ford Macomb Hospital’s online Weight Management class, she contacted the C.A.R.E. team for help. Veronica Bilicki, R.N., manager of C.A.R.E., looked into the class, contacted the Weight Management team on Yvonne’s behalf, and even registered herself for the class so she could better assist Yvonne with the experience. The next day, Yvonne successfully logged into the WebEx session. The Weight Management team helped Yvonne set up MyChart so she could easily see her class registrations in the future. For Veronica and the entire C.A.R.E. team, helping caregivers care for themselves is a priority.
