Linda Muscatello, Administrative Assistant, Laser Vision Correction Patient

"I always used to say if I had one wish, it would be to wake up in the morning and be able to see. Now my wish has come true and it's just wonderful. I started wearing glasses when I was five years old, and I've never been comfortable with them. Even when you get contacts, you still have to have glasses. It gets really expensive - especially when your glasses are as thick as mine were. And I never had any confidence in myself in glasses. If I ran into someone at the store when I was wearing them, I was always embarrassed.

"I guess the first time I really realized how horrible it was not to be able to see was when I gave birth to my daughter. They took my glasses away, so when they showed me the baby for the first time, I couldn't even see her. They had to take her to another hospital because she was early and I didn't see her for a week. When you realize that you can't even see your newborn baby, it's really frustrating.

"That very same daughter recently got contacts and it was like deja-vu for me. She doesn't like them at all, but now that I've had such great success with Laser Vision Correction she knows that when she gets a little older she'll have an option. I see her eyes getting worse and worse and her glasses getting thicker and thicker, and I'm glad that she won't have to deal with the hassle as long as I did.

"Since I've had it done, I know that the procedure is really simple and gets good results. I'm 20/20 in both eyes and I'm completely satisfied. It's like a miracle. I never thought anything like this could be possible. The actual procedure didn't take very long at all. I didn't feel any pain. You just stare at a light and before you know it, it's all over. It was just wonderful, and I noticed results immediately. When I woke up the next morning and I could see, I was thrilled.

"One of the things that I enjoy the most is being able to see in the shower. It's a little thing, but it makes a big difference. I can put on my makeup a lot faster in the morning, and I have a lot more confidence in myself.

"I would recommend Henry Ford because of the wonderful treatment that I got - you actually almost feel like a member of their family - you just feel really comfortable. I had full confidence in them - they were just wonderful. After the procedure, the surgeon gave me his beeper number. That's security - knowing that the doctor is there if you need him - you don't find that very often these days."
