Henry Ford Jackson Hospital Behavioral Health Services provides complete psychiatric care for adults and geriatric/older adults, with both partial and full hospitalization options available.

We have the resources — and the compassion — to help individuals struggling with behavioral health challenges. Our experienced team has extensive training in a variety of specialties. The team includes board-certified psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, licensed social workers, psychologists and mental health therapists.

The hospital offers two separate Inpatient Psychiatric Units: An Adult High Acuity Unit, which addresses the needs of patients in behavioral health crisis within our community who are in in need of hospitalization for crisis stabilization and higher level of care, requiring 24-hour care and safety observation.

Additionally, the hospital has an Adult Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit that addresses the behavioral health needs of patients in behavioral health crisis within our community. The unit provides inpatient care for patients in need of hospitalization for acute mental illness, requiring 24-hour care and safety observation.

We provide the latest infertility services, including genetic screening of embryos, minimally invasive surgery and fertilizing eggs with a single sperm. If needed, we also offer storage of eggs, sperm and embryos to preserve fertility.

Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital’s Behavioral Health Services provides complete inpatient care in our adult psychiatric unit. Starting in the hospital Emergency Room, our specially trained team can provide a dedicated psychiatric assessment service for patients in crisis who need immediate psychiatric intervention.

We offer a range of therapies as part of our inpatient psychiatric care, including electroconvulsive therapy (ECT). In addition, we can treat patients with acute psychiatric conditions who also are dealing with addiction (also known as substance-use disorder). And because of our location within the hospital, we can treat patients who also have medical conditions that require attention.
