Infertility Treatment

reproductive medicine imageThe Henry Ford Center for Reproductive Medicine Medicine designs an individualized fertility treatment program for each woman based on the diagnosed cause of infertility, as well as culture and beliefs, desire for simple or aggressive therapy and financial capabilities.

Nationally, less than three percent of infertility treatments actually require In Vitro fertilization or similar assisted reproductive technologies. At the Henry Ford Center for Reproductive Medicine, our intention is to begin with the least invasive approach that offers the best chance for a successful outcome.

If your fertility is affected by a medical condition, such as diabetes, our medical team coordinates care with other specialists throughout Henry Ford Health System. We leverage the expertise of our renowned experts in endocrinology/metabolism, bone and mineral, cardiology and other departments to help ensure a healthy pregnancy.

Infertility treatments

Ovulation Induction Medications that stimulate the ovaries to release eggs may be the first step in treating infertility.

Minimally Invasive Surgery Some patients may require surgery to repair Fallopian tubes, treat endometriosis, remove scar tissue or correct abnormalities. The physicians at the Henry Ford Center for Reproductive Medicine specialize in minimally invasive surgical techniques.

Some couples may require more aggressive infertility treatments. Learn more about Assisted Reproduction Technologies including Intrauterine Insemination and In Vitro Fertilization.
