The Moderna ‘COVE’ Vaccine Study

Henry Ford Health System is the only hospital system in Michigan chosen as a Phase 3 trial site for the Moderna mRNA-1273 Coronavirus Efficacy (Cove) vaccine study. Henry Ford is enrolling volunteers who live or work in southeast Michigan into this randomized double-blind study of whether a two-dose vaccine prevents COVID-19 infection in those exposed to the coronavirus. About 90 healthcare systems across the United States are working quickly to enroll a total of 30,000 volunteers to participate.

Participation in this study is completely voluntary. Forms on this website are filled out to indicate a desire to volunteer. Then, an informed consent process will take place with those who meet parameters the study. During the consent process, volunteers will have an opportunity to have any questions about participation addressed, prior to enrollment in the study. If you are a healthcare worker or first responder, please bring your employment badge to your first in-person enrollment meeting with study coordinators.
