Spine Cancer Support Services

The support you need before and after spinal cancer care.

Spinal cancer patients often have questions that go beyond the diagnostic process, their treatment options, or even what to expect from their care. You may wonder why this has happened to you. Or you may feel depressed or helpless to do anything about it.

But there is hope for life beyond spinal cancer. And we’re here for you every step of the way.

Support for spinal tumor and spinal cord tumor patients

As part of your care, you’ll work with a nurse navigator. This professional will help guide you through what can be an overwhelming experience. The nurse navigator will help you get answers to questions about your care, set up appointments, offer emotional support, and much more.

Our cancer patients have access to a wide range of educational and support resources.

Preparing for spinal tumor or spinal cord tumor surgery

Most people have heard of rehabilitation, or rehab, after an injury or surgery. But not everyone has heard of “prehab,” or preparing before surgery to help ensure the best recovery possible.

Spinal prehab patients work with our rehabilitation services team. During prehab, we’ll help you increase your activity level and strengthen your core. Prehab can improve your mobility and speed recovery after surgery.

If you have surgery to remove spinal or spinal cord tumors, you may need occupational therapy, physical therapy, or a combination of the two after your procedure to get back to your normal activities.
