Medical Assistant Careers

Be a valued member of a great team

Henry Ford Health offers a wide variety of settings and locations for medical assistants (MAs) to build a satisfying career. MAs work closely with our physicians, advanced practice providers and nurses to provide family-centered care in more than 250 clinics and medical centers, including new facilities in Chelsea, Plymouth and Royal Oak.

We appreciate our MAs

As a Henry Ford MA, you will provide direct patient care and administrative duties that keep the office running smoothly and efficiently. After a patient registers for an appointment, you will likely be the first person they see, explaining treatment procedures and preparing them for examinations. With every patient encounter, you can be proud of your ability to ease anxieties and elevate the patient’s overall experience.

Because of your essential role as an MA on our team, you will be highly appreciated and supported by providers and coworkers.

Be proud of what you do

“As an MA with Henry Ford Pediatrics, I feel like I am a part of something much larger than myself. I am helping our little ones stay healthy and safe from unwanted diseases. I am part of a great team, and I feel really good about that.”
— Laurie Lenard, MA, Henry Ford Medical Center – Royal Oak

Be respected for your work

“As a surgeon, I consider our medical assistant an indispensable partner who aids me in various aspects of patient care, procedure preparation and administrative tasks. Our MA contributes significantly to the overall success and smooth operation of my surgical practice.”
— Jason Weslosky, DPM, Henry Ford Podiatry

“Medical assistants are a vital part of the daily operations of my clinic, serving as liaisons between our patients and myself. They play a major role in the efficiency of my clinic day and patient satisfaction.”
— Andrea Brzys, Lead Nurse Practitioner, Breast Surgery Oncology Program
