Our Referring Physician Office is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to facilitate convenient access to our health care professionals. Services include:

  • Rapid physician-to-physician consultation with more than 1,200 Henry Ford Medical Group physicians
  • Coordination of second opinions
  • Coordination of multiple patient appointments (routine and urgent)
  • New patient registration and insurance verification
  • Information about physician-specific areas of expertise
  • Preferred and timely access to our facilities and specialists
  • Critical care transport
  • Shared access to your patient’s medical records
  • Concierge service for traveling patients

  • If you have experienced two or more of the following symptoms in the last 3 days:
    • fever
    • chills
    • drenching sweats
    • new cough
    • shortness of breath
    • body aches
    • headache
    • sore throat
    • runny nose or nasal congestion
    • nausea/vomiting/diarrhea
