Why choose Henry Ford Health for amputation care services?

There are many kinds of amputations, each with different treatment options. We also know that every patient’s rehabilitation process is unique. Our multidisciplinary team is dedicated to creating personalized care plans and supporting every patient throughout their journey — from amputation care to rehabilitation, prosthetic coordination and long-term follow-up. Patients who have lost a limb (or limbs) can be referred to this clinic at any time in their recovery.

These efforts are led by Nathan McKenty, M.D, M.P.H., who launched Henry Ford Health’s first Amputee Clinic following his fellowship in Amputee and Musculoskeletal (MSK) Medicine. Our team, including prosthetists and therapists, works closely with each patient to address physical recovery, mobility goals and overall well-being, ensuring you have seamless coordinated care across specialties.
