Pediatric Orthopedics

Specialized care for the unique needs of children

Children’s bodies are constantly undergoing periods of rapid change. Depending on their stage of development, a child’s bone, joint, and muscle structure can be very different from an adult’s. That’s why orthopedic conditions in children -- such as spine deformities and hip disorders -- require specialized care.

Supportive care for pediatric orthopedic patients

A hospital stay can be difficult for children and parents. We dedicate a team of specialists for each patient through the course of their time with us, from the moment of diagnosis to the completion of treatment.

Our pediatric orthopedic specialists will work closely with you to develop a personalized treatment plan for your child. We also partner with other Henry Ford experts for comprehensive care, including:

  • Physical therapists to help with recovery
  • Physiatrists to assist in relieving pain and restoring body function
  • Neurologists to provide care instruction for your child’s nervous system
