Emergency Medicine Services at Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital is staffed with dedicated board-certified physicians, nurses and other specially trained medical professionals who specialize in providing the highest level of emergency care.
Although we treat a broad range of emergency injuries and illnesses, we are especially proud to be both a state-certified heart attack treatment center and a certified stroke center, with services headed by Henry Ford’s top cardiologists and neurologists. In addition to our cardiac and neurological specialists, we collaborate extensively with interventional radiologists who support our team and provide advanced care like clot extraction and other critical procedures to restore blood flow to the brain.
Emergency Medicine Services houses two trauma bays and a trauma overflow room that can accommodate up to five patients simultaneously.
Convenient and comfortable ER experience
Once in the ER, we focus on an efficient registration process so you can be in a private room as quickly as possible. The rooms are large enough to accommodate patients and their families and most come equipped with private bathrooms.
In an effort to maximize patient safety and minimize errors, all patient registration and medical-record entry are done electronically. Once discharged from the ER, these records can easily be accessed by medical professionals throughout the Henry Ford Health System to ensure continuity of care. Within 24 – 72 hours of your ER stay, we follow up to find out how you’re feeling, answer any questions and encourage feedback regarding your particular experience.
For your convenience, Emergency Medicine Services offers free valet and concierge services.
