If you are having a child, it is easy to feel overwhelmed by questions and concerns about your upcoming birthing experience. Many new parents find childbirth classes help calm their worries about what to expect.

Henry Ford Health System offers a variety of childbirth education classes for expectant parents and their families. These classes provide you with an opportunity to make informed decisions about your baby’s birth. Learn about birth preparation, breastfeeding, infant care, and more. Note: Note: Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, we have suspended our in-person Childbirth and Parenting classes. You can still search our class offerings for virtual, online class options. You may wish to view some of our online educational videos. You may also find helpful educational videos from other online sources, including BabyCenter.

New: We are pleased to now offer HypnoBirthing® classes, which emphasizes natural childbirth and techniques to help ease pain during labor. Learn more about this unique approach to labor. You can also view upcoming HypnoBirthing® class offerings.

For your safety please call our MyCare Advice Line at 844-262-1949 before scheduling if: You currently have a temperature greater than 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit, you are experiencing a new loss of taste and/or sense of smell, in the past 21 days, you have been diagnosed with COVID-19, in the past 14 days, you have had contact with anyone diagnosed with COVID-19. Or, you have experienced two or more of the following symptoms in the last 3 days: fever, chills, drenching sweats, new cough, shortness of breath, body aches, headache, sore throat, runny nose or nasal congestion, or nausea/vomiting/diarrhea.
