Henry Ford Health System offers a wide range of diagnostic exams using leading-edge equipment and images are interpreted by specially trained radiologists. Our imaging services include:

  • Breast Imaging, the use of medical imaging equipment to see inside the breast
  • Computed Tomography (CT), scans that use X-rays and special computers to create detailed images of sections of the body
  • Gastrointestinal Radiology, imaging of the digestive tract
  • Interventional Radiology, the use of medical image guidance, such as Computed tomography (CT) scans, Ultrasounds, and X-rays, to perform minimally invasive treatment procedures
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), which uses magnets and radio waves to create pictures of the inside of the body
  • Nuclear Medicine, a type of medical imaging that provides detailed pictures of what is happening inside the body at the molecular and cellular level
  • Pediatric Radiology, imaging of fetuses, infants, children, adolescents, and young adults
  • PET, scans that use small amounts of radioactive material known as tracers which allow us to view disease processes in the body
  • Ultrasounds, scans that use high-frequency sound waves to produce pictures of the inside of the body
  • X-Rays, a form of radiation used to create black-and-white pictures of the body’s interior
