The World Health Organization defines health as "more than the absence of disease." Likewise the strategies that most effectively address today's pressing health issues often move beyond what is typically provided in traditional health care environments.

We know that health education best occurs in settings conducive to personal transformation and sustained, supported lifestyle change. Studies show that churches and other communities of faith can offer just such settings.
