Sports Medicine Fellowship

The Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit is an ACGME approved, one-year fellowship in Sports Medicine. Our faculty includes more than ten fellowship trained Sports Medicine physicians who hold a CAQ in Sports medicine. The fellowship is primarily housed at the Henry Ford Center for Athletic Medicine/Detroit Pistons Performance center. Three fellows are accepted each year.

Henry Ford Sports medicine physicians provide medical care for more than a dozen local high schools, 5 local colleges/universities, and serve as the health care providers for all 4 major professional sports teams in Detroit (Lions, Tigers, Pistons, Red Wings) and the Motor City Cruise.

The fellowship is anchored by strong support from a large faculty of fellowship-trained sports physicians and surgeons, as well as orthopedic surgery specialty physicians. The fellowship is designed to be an interesting, challenging, informative and fun year, focused on broadening the Fellow’s experience and expertise in the field of sports medicine.
